About Us
Yellow Dog Army is a YDA Mission Happiness project founded by Tammy Flemming, built around Labrador Retrievers and the quiet, steady joy they bring to the world. Through photography, storytelling, and real moments from HQ, we share calm, loyalty, grounding, and clear signal in a noisy world – one yellow dog at a time. Follow along on Instagram: @yellowdogarmy | Visit: yellowdogarmy.org Every story begins with a moment you don't realize will change your life. For us, that moment arrived on four paws. One single Labrador Retriever, Kind, steady, joyful in the way only a Labrador can be, changed everything. NOT because of pedigree. NOT because of training. BECAUSE of what she carried without even meaning to: a way of responding that showed a human who they were, without asking them to be anything else. That dog was Angie. Her simple, unwavering way of being, became the spark for something much bigger. Over time, the "yellow dog" grew from one Labrador into a symbol: a reminder that what people often search for outside themselves becomes visible when they encounter a mirror that does not distort. That idea is what the Yellow Dog Army was born from. NOT an army of soldiers. An army of RESTORERS - people rediscovering what is already present... one yellow dog at a time. And here is the part no one expects: the "yellow dog" isn't always a dog. Sometimes it's a moment of truth. Sometimes it's a shift in perspective. Sometimes it's a mirror that allows you see yourself without distortion. Today, the Yellow Dog Army stands for this promise: Wherever you are, whatever you're carrying, the ability to see clearly is never gone. It doesn't need to be created or repaired - only uncovered... One yellow dog at a time. Our mission isn't about breeding. It isn't about selling puppies. It's about carrying forward the essence of what these dogs demonstrate : stability, loyalty, grounding, and making that experience visible to humans. Welcome to the Yellow Dog Army. A quiet force of good, built on purpose and guided by the spirit of one incredible dog who started it all. Yellow Labrador Retriever Angie on a stump — Yellow Dog Army Mission Happiness
